We offer courses and tastings for interested wine lovers at all levels. As well as making sure the subjects are covered to the depth needed to make them worthwhile, we try to make all our courses as interesting and enjoyable as possible. We want to demystify the world of wine and help everyone get the best from every bottle.
So, if you love wine but would love to learn more ... please browse from one of the course options above.
"Catering operations succeed or fail on their staff training and motivation" - the late (and sadly missed) food critic AA Gill writing in the Sunday Times - and we couldn't agree more (even if he didn't touch alcohol)!
We are an Approved Programme Provider delivering courses leading to awards from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust - so you can gain a recognised professional qualification. Click here for details of the professional courses on offer.
Our next WSET courses are:
Level 1 Award in Wine - next course on Tuesday 13th November.
Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits - three Mondays starting 29th October, final day and exam 12th November.
Level 3 Award in Wine - six Mondays starting 21st January 2019 with final revision and examination day on 25th February 2019.
We are also very proud to have been chosen to deliver the new Chapel Down Wine Academy courses in their new custom Wine Sanctuary tasting and teaching facility in the winery at Smallhythe near Tenterden overlooking their vineyards.
The day will provide an overview of the delights of wine and how and why wines differ, professional tasting technique, a practical food and wine workshop and buying tips.
All this with a stunning three course lunch at The Swan restaurant with specially selected Chapel Down wines to accompany.
A really exciting day out - the next course is on Friday 19th July 2019: contact Chapel Down for more information.
Alternatively, please contact us if you have any queries or want to discuss any specific requirements. We can work with restaurants and hotels to deliver wine-themed events and breaks for their customers, and also to provide custom training and short courses for staff.
